Oct. 7
6 p.m. - The second of our free Frank Capra movies series for adults. Arsenic and Old Lace, is about two sweet old ladies who poison lonely men as a charity and bury them in the cellar, and no sooner does their stable nephew find out about this (while preparing to leave for his honeymoon) then his long-lost homicidal brother returns with a face like Frankenstein’s monster. Popcorn will be served and you may bring your own beverages (no alcohol permitted).
Oct. 8
9:45 a.m. - Toddler Time for children ages 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers. This is a 20-minute program with short stories, songs and music and movement activities.
10:30 a.m. - Preschool Storytime for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. This is a 45-minute program with longer stories, action rhymes, songs and a craft.
The focus is on fall at storytime this week. Preschoolers will do a leaf craft.
4 p.m. - Crafts for Kids is for those in kindergarten through fifth grade. This month, kids will decorate monster masks. We’ll have feathers, jewels and other items to make your mask really exciting. This free program requires registration to ensure enough supplies. Please call 672-3811 or visit the Orange Library to register.
Oct. 10
3:30 p.m. - Anime at the library for 6-12th graders. Come watch the first disc of the high school romantic comedy His and Her Circumstances: Like a Drug. Yukino Miyazawa is addicted to admiration and praise from those around her. She worked hard to become the perfect student, the perfect girl. But that was before…him. Souichirou Arima. The instant she met him, she hated him. Without even trying, he snatched the very glory from her hands. To take back what is rightfully hers, Yukino is putting all her efforts into plotting her revenge; but was love part of the plan? Snacks provided.

Head out west with stories about cowboys, horses and desert animals. Preschoolers will make their own cowboy hats.
