The Orange County Fair kicks off Thursday, July 24, highlighting the county’s agricultural tradition and legacy.
The traditionally styled family fair will be held July 24-27 at Montpelier’s paddock, and features perennial favorites like livestock shows, live musical performances, contests, food and old-fashioned fun.
Fair organizers blend events and entertainment, guaranteeing a good time for all. Unlike other fairs which feature carnival games and cheap prizes, the Orange County Fair instead features the best Orange County has to offer: from photography to food, from vegetables to livestock, from crops to crafts.
The fair is also a showcase of the efforts of our 4-H youth, who work all year to prepare their projects and livestock for this annual event.
The Orange County Fair opens Thursday July 24 and runs through Sunday July 27. Admission Thursday for adults (13 and up) is $3, $1 for children (5-12), and children 4 and under are admitted free. Admission on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is $6 per day for adults, $3 per day for children (5-12) and children 4 and under are admitted free.
