Henry earns master’s at Mary Baldwin College
Schuyler L. Henry, formerly of Orange, now living in Harrisonburg, received a master of arts in teaching degree from Mary Baldwin College during the 166th Commencement Ceremony that was held on May 18 in downtown Staunton.
Darnell on Methodist dean’s list
Zachary Reeves Darnell, son of Jim Darnell and Delores C. Darnell, has been named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2008 semester at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Zach is a junior majoring in business administration and as a student in the Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program is interning in Phoenix, Arizona, for the summer.
Seale receives associate degree, PVCC
Gary Randolph Seale, Jr., son of Gary R. Seale and Mrs. John C. Rogers of Orange, received his associate of science degree in business administration from Piedmont Virginia Community College on Friday, May 9.
Seale was a 2004 graduate of Orange County High School and was a member of both the varsity football and soccer teams. He has been accepted at James Madison University and is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems and management.
Randy is the grandson of Mrs. B. Manley Jones of Orange and Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Seale of Oak Park, as well as the brother of Mrs. John A. Weems and Elizabeth Nan Seale of Orange.

Elizabeth Nan Seale, daughter of Gary R. Seale and Mrs. John C. Rogers of Orange, received her bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in biology from the University of Virginia on Sunday, May 18.
Seale was a 2003 graduate of Orange County High School and is currently employed at Spectrum Therapy as a physical therapist aide. She plans on continuing her education in the field of physical therapy while pursuing her doctorate at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Nan is the granddaughter of Mrs. R. Manley Jones of Orange and Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Seale of Oak Park, as well as the sister of Mrs. John A. Weems and Gary Randolph Seale, Jr. of Orange.
Brockman and Jacobs
graduate Hampden-Sydney
Students with ties to the local community were among the 216 men who graduated on Sunday, May 11, at commencement exercises marking the end of the 233rd academic year at Hampden-Sydney College.
William Burrus Brockman graduated with a B.S. in applied mathematics. He is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brockman of Orange.
Thomas Whitney Jacobs graduated with a B.A. in history. He is a graduate of Orange County High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Jacobs of Orange.
