UNIONVILLE CHRISTIAN
Unionville Christian Church Vacation Bible School continues June 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 12-noon and we’ll be exploring Jerusalem Market Place and learning about the life of Jesus. We are now accepting registration for ages K-6th grade. ST. THOMAS EPISCOPAL
St. Thomas Episcopal Church Vacation Bible School continues Thursday-Friday, June 26-27 from 6 to 8 p.m. This year’s program is the Rainforest Adventure, an exploration of the rainforest and God’s word. We warmly welcome our community’s children to a week of fun and fellowship. Children are welcome to bring a friend. Each night’s events will include dinner, singing, prayers, stories and crafts. BLUE RUN BAPTIST
Vacation Bible School at Blue Run Baptist Church, Somerset, Rt. 231, will continue through June 27 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. “Outrigger Island-Living God’s Unshakable Truth” is the theme with classes for all, babies through adults. This will be a full week of learning and fun.
LITTLE ZION BAPTIST
Vacation Bible School at Little Zion Baptist Church continues through June 27 with the theme “God’s Big Backyard.“ Classes for pre-K through adults. For more details call Connie Lewis at 854-4991.
NEW HOPE BAPTIST
Vacation Bible School will continue on June 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 32250 Old Plank Road, Mine Run, for pre-K through sixth grade. Gordonsville Baptist Church, 303 West Gordon Avenue, continues Vacation Bible School for ages four through sixth grade Thursday-Friday, June 26-27 from 9 a.m. to noon. Outrigger Island, aloha! Surf’s up, so grab your surfboard and head for the waves. Wave-riders will know, speak and live God’s truth - aloha-style, based on Psalm 86:11. Outrigger Island is more than a tropical paradise - it’s the place where kids will develop the stability they need to face a world of shifting sand and wavering opinions. Community Baptist Church, 14233 Little Zion Road, Orange, Vacation Bible School will be held Friday, June 27 from 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 12-noon for ages three to sixth grade.

The Men’s Ministry of Little Zion Baptist Church will host a prayer breakfast June 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. The Rev. Gino Bryant from Greater Visionary Ministry, Gordonsville, will be guest facilitator. All men are welcome.

GRACE BAPTIST
Grace Baptist Church invites you to their God and Country Service Sunday, June 29 with guest speaker, Dr. Jack Knapp, a representative with the Virginia Assembly of Independent Baptists. He will be speaking on various news items from the political scene in the Virginia State Assembly. There will be a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. and Dr. Knapp will speak in Sunday school as well as at the Sunday morning worship service. A luncheon will be held following worship service. Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church will be in service for their annual Missions Day on June 29 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Howard Butler from Hopewell Baptist Church, Rapidan, accompanied by the choir and church family as our special guests. FREEDOM REVIVAL 2008
Solid Rock Full Gospel Church, 3580 Spotswood Trail, Barboursville, invites everyone to the Freedom Revival 2008 July 4-5 starting at 6 p.m. both evenings. GOSPEL CONCERT XVIII
The combined voices of Antioch, Blue Run, Chestnut Grove, City of Refuge and Mt. Holy Baptist churches, along with other volunteers, will present Gospel Concert XVIII Sunday, July 6 at 5 p.m. This benefit concert will be held at Blue Run Baptist Church, Barboursville; the Rev. Peggy Brice is pastor.

Each night’s events will have crafts, puppets, songs and prizes. The activities will conclude Friday, July 11 with a graduation ceremony and a family picnic. Suspicious-looking pirates have been sighted near Antioch Baptist Church in Unionville and Pastor Brian Harfst assures us that these pirates are the good-hearted sort. They’ve made port at the church in preparation for “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything,“ a VegieTales Vacation Bible School, scheduled for July 7-11 from 9 a.m. to noon. Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Village Road, Unionville, invites all children ages three to 12 to a special one-day Vacation Bible School Wednesday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ll learn ways to tend the earth God gave us and about feeding the nation’s hungry through story-time, mission lessons, games and projects. We will have water-play in the afternoon; be sure to bring your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen.
