FREEDOM REVIVAL 2008
Solid Rock Full Gospel Church, 3580 Spotswood Trail, Barboursville, invites everyone to the Freedom Revival 2008 July 4-5 at 4 p.m. both evenings. Bring your lawn chair and come and join us in celebrating and thanking God for the freedom we have and for our country. If you like southern gospel music, good fellowship and good food you won’t want to miss this great event. There is no admission charge; a free-will offering will be accepted. CLOTHES GIVEAWAY
Blue Run Baptist Church, Route 231, Somerset, will hold a clothing giveaway for all ages, infants through adults, on Saturday, July 5 from 9 a.m. to 12-noon.

GOSPEL CONCERT XVIII
The combined voices of Antioch, Blue Run, Chestnut Grove, City of Refuge and Mt. Holy Baptist churches, along with other volunteers, will present Gospel Concert XVIII Sunday, July 6 at 5 p.m. under direction of Sis. Pearl Davis. PLEASANT GROVE
Ahoy kids, set sail for Outrigger Island! Join us for Vacation Bible School at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Greene County, intersection of Routes 609/610. We welcome children age three through grade six to share our island adventure Monday-Thursday, July 7-10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Come have fun with us while you learn what it means to know, speak and live God’s unshakeable truth.

CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Christ Episcopal Church, Gordonsville, will have Vacation Bible School the week of July 7-11 from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. This year’s program deals with Biblical people who transformed their world. Each night’s events will have crafts, puppets, songs and prizes. The activities will conclude Friday, July 11 with a graduation ceremony and a family picnic. ANTIOCH BAPTIST
Suspicious-looking pirates have been sighted near Antioch Baptist Church in Unionville and Pastor Brian Harfst assures us that these pirates are the good-hearted sort. They’ve made port at the church in preparation for “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything,” a VegieTales Vacation Bible School, scheduled for July 7-11 from 9 a.m. to noon. ABUNDANT LIFE
CHRISTIAN
Abundant Life Christian Fellowship invites all children ages three and up to come join the fun every Wednesday morning (July 9) from 10 a.m. to 12-noon. GOSPEL SING
A gospel sing will be held July 11 at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Orange, beginning at 6 p.m. with dinner, (we will have sandwiches) and everyone is welcome. At 7 p.m. open stage and prayer requests and at 8 p.m. the featured group will be The Yoder’s from Farmville. Take Route 20 North of Orange to Route 631 across from Orange County Airport; go to large white church on the right. A love offering will be received. HARMONY FREEWILL BAPTIST
Vacation Bible School will be held at Harmony Freewill Baptist Church, 225 Spicer’s Mill Road, Orange July 14-19 from 7-9 p.m.; awards day and a cookout will be Saturday, July 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The theme for VBS is God’s Backyard; kids, come and learn about Jesus.

BETHELHEM UM CHURCH
Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Village Road, Unionville, invites all children ages three to 12 to a special one-day Vacation Bible School Wednesday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ll learn ways to tend the earth God gave us and about feeding the nation’s hungry through story-time, mission lessons, games and projects. We will have water-play in the afternoon; be sure to bring your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. LITTLE ZION BAPTIST
Little Zion Baptist Church cordially invites you to attend the 26th pastoral anniversary celebration of their pastor, the Rev. Marion F. Wilkerson, on Sunday, July 20 at 10 a.m. Minister Harold S. Miller of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Advance Mills, will be the guest speaker. Lunch will be served following the morning service.

BENEFIT FUNDRAISER
A benefit fundraiser will be held July 19 at Booster Park, Rt. 20, Orange, beginning at 2 p.m. to benefit the “McGinnis Medical Fund.” Join us for live music, an auction, a pastor’s dunking booth, yard sale booths, great food, pony rides, face painting, and snow cones for the children. Our hope and prayer is that we will all come together as a community to help this young teen in such a difficult time. All donations can be sent to Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, 19103 Brick Church Road, Orange, VA 22960 with “The McGinnis Medical Fund” on the memo line.

FREE SOCCER CAMP
Free soccer camps will be held at Isaiah House, 19106 Constitution Highway this summer for ages 5 to 9 on Monday-Friday, July 21-25 from 9-11 a.m. and for ages 10 and up Monday-Friday, July 28-August 1 from 9-11 a.m. Please call pastor/coach Dwane Pugh to signup at 672-9867.
