Gospel concert at Trinity
The Virginia Harmonheirs Southern Gospel quartet will be having a free concert at Trinity United Methodist Church Saturday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m.

SHOEBOX COLLECTION
Gordonsville Baptist Church is a Shoebox Collection Relay Center for Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child. The 2008 National Collection Week is Nov. 17-24. Gordonsville Baptist Church is located at 303 West Gordon Avenue on the corner of High Street and Gordon Avenue. The shoeboxes will be received in the Fellowship Hall of the church basement. Hours of operation will be: Monday, Nov. 17 to Friday, Nov. 21 from 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, please contact the church office at 540-832-2075 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
‘THE GOSPEL’ TALENT SHOWCASE
Area Youth are invited to showcase their talent in the first “The GOSPEL” Youth Talent Showcase Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. This event was originally scheduled for Oct. 24. The location is the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Rd., Rixeyville. There will be five categories: Solo, Duo/Group, Dance/Step, Spoken Word, Instrumentalists. Winners will be awarded trophies as determined by local area judges. The registration fee is $10/per entry and applications must have been received by Nov. 15. CHRISTMAS BAZZAR AND BAKE SALE
The Orange Community Church of Christ is pleased to announce its sixth annual Christmas Bazaar Friday Nov. 21 and Saturday Nov. 22 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be handmade crafts, costume jewelry, decorative items, artificial wreaths, children’s items, mouth blown Christmas ornaments and so much more!! PASTOR ANNIVERSARY
The Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Nasons, will celebrate the third anniversary of their pastor, Reverend Willie D. Crenshaw, Jr., Saturday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. Guest preacher will be minister Yolanda Flowers Barnes, associate minister of Shining Star Free Will Baptist Church, Seat Pleasant, Maryland and of the gospel singing group, The Flowers. An anniversary dinner will follow. Let us give God the praise for all the works he has done.
BENEFIT CONCERT
A benefit concert will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at Antioch Baptist Church beginning at 3 p.m. The concert, which features students from Shenandoah Conservatory performing “Piano Forte,” benefit those in need in the community. For more information, call 540-308-0908.

Bethlehem United Methodist Church will be having their annual Bazaar Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 23266 Village Road in Unionville, VA. There will be arts and crafts, baked goods, white elephant treasures, Christmas items, poinsettias, and much more. Country ham biscuits, sausage biscuits, vegetable beef stew, pie and beverages will be available during the day. Some carry out will be available. Nazareth Baptist Church will celebrate the third anniversary of our pastor, the Reverend Dr. Gene T. Lee, Nov. 23. The 11 a.m. guest preacher will be Minister Marie Miller, associate minister at Mt. CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
Somerset Christian Church, located on Rt. 20 South, Somerset, is having their annual Christmas Bazaar and Brunswick Stew/Chili Festival, Saturday, Dec. 6. The church doors will open at 8 a.m. with handmade Christmas ornaments, lots of miscellaneous handmade crafts and delicious homemade baked goods. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that includes Brunswick stew or chili, corn bread, salad, homemade dessert and drink-all for $6. The Brunswick stew or chili can be purchased by the quart for $5. Also, raffle tickets will be on sale for a gift basket that includes $400 of gift certificates plus other items. Ticket prices are one for $3, three for $5 and 10 for $10. The drawing will take place Dec. 6 and you do not have to be present to win. Gospel singing stars, The Crawford Brothers, of Staunton, VA will be in concert at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Nasons, Saturday, Dec. 6th at 3 p.m. This event will benefit the Building Fund. Deaconess Donna Ellis is the sponsor.
CHRISTMAS BANQUET
Union Baptist Church, Trevilians, will be having their annual Christmas banquet, Saturday Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. at Shenandoah Crossing. Pastor Sharon Roberts, St. Thomas Baptist Church in Bumpass, will be the guest preacher for the evening. The dinner is $35 per person. SERVICE
Bethlehem United Methodist Church at Unionville will be holding “A Community Prayer Service” every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. (except Thanksgiving). The Service will focus on prayer for the community, state, and nation and should last approximately 30 minutes. Everyone is invited to join us in prayer!

Union Baptist Church, Trevillians, is hosting a trip to New York, NY. We will be traveling to New York June 26, 2009 and returning June 28, 2009.
