FLAT RUN BAPTIST
The Academy of Arts will be performing a dramatic production entitled “Creation, Evolution and the Flood,” Friday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. at Flat Run Baptist Church, 2736 Germanna Highway, Locust Grove, near Germanna Community College and Lake of the Wood. The program will consist of professional stage lighting, sound and sets.
ANTIOCH BAPTIST, MADISON
Antioch Baptist Church, Madison, homecoming and revival services continues through Aug. 1 with devotion beginning at 7:30 p.m. July 31-Aug. 1, the Rev. James Victor from Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Arlington will be guest speaker. Special guests on Thursday, July 31, will be the Voices of Chestnut Grove Baptist, Eheart, and on Friday, Aug. 1, St. Stevens Baptist Church from Stevensburg.
BLUE RUN BAPTIST
A clothing giveaway will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12-noon at Blue Run Baptist Church, Rt. 231, Somerset. There will be lots of clothing for all.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL EVENT
The youth from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Nasons invites you to a Community Back-to-School event on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Prospect Heights Middle School old football field. We are asking each church, organization or business to sponsor one item on the back-to-school list or to make a contribution. Any contribution you make is appreciated; please keep in mind that this is a community event for our children. We will have free hot dogs, potato chips and drinks and free school supplies. Back-to-school supply list includes: pencils, paper, erasers, binders, dividers, crayons, colored pencils, colored markers, ink pens, calculators, rulers, pencil pouches, index cards, folders, composition notebooks, pencil sharpeners, glue sticks, book bags, etc. For more information, contact Kim Jones at 540-854-7788 or Angela Smith at 540-832-7113.

New Hope Baptist Church, Mine Run, will be having their annual Homecoming celebration Sunday, Aug. 3. The public is invited to attend worship service from 11-12-noon, followed by a luncheon on the grounds. At 2 p.m. there will be praise music by Immersed and the first of four revival sessions led by Pastor Charlie Chilton. Each evening, Monday-Wednesday, Aug. 4-6, beginning at 7 p.m. the church will host a free entertainment event leading into the revival session. Homecoming at Mt. Olive will begin Sunday, Aug. 3, with the Rev. Hudson and his congregation from Matthews Memorial Baptist Church, Washington, DC, as guests. The regular service begins at 12-noon conducted by the Rev. Glaspie with dinner served immediately following at 2 p.m. The evening service begins at 3 p.m. with the following speakers: Wednesday, Aug. 6 the Rev. Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. a Depression Recovery Seminar with Dr. Neil Nedley’s DVD Lectures with workbook and discussions will be held in the basement fellowship hall at Orange Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 212 Peliso Avenue.
