ORANGE BAPTIST FOOD MINISTRY
Orange Baptist Church has had a wonderful response in regards to their food ministry program “Angel Food.” The deadline for August orders is Friday, Aug. 8 at 4 p.m. Distribution will be Saturday, Aug. 23 at noon. Questions, contact Melinda Clark at 672-2996.

GOSPEL SING AT ABUNDANT LIFE
Gospel Sing will be held Friday, Aug. 8 at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Orange, with dinner at 6 p.m., (bring a covered-dish if you like, everyone is welcome); 7 p.m. open stage and prayer requests and at 8 p.m. “The Blood Connected” from North Carolina will be the featured group. A love offering will be received. Take Rt. 20 north of Orange to Rt. 631 across from Orange County Airport, large white church on right. LITTLE ZION BAPTIST
Little Zion Baptist Church Youth Department picnic will be held Saturday, Aug. 9 from 1-5 p.m. Join the youth as they enjoy fellowship, food and fun.

HOPEWELL BAPTIST
Hopewell Baptist Church will be celebrating homecoming Sunday, Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Calvin Lawrence, choir and congregation from Free Union Baptist Church, Culpeper, as special guests. Revival services will be held Monday-Friday, Aug. 11-15 at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Eric Henley from Charlotte, North Carolina as the evangelist for the week with various choirs providing the music. Members of Hopewell Baptist extend an invitation to you to join them, if unable to attend, please keep us in your prayers.

WBRBA ANNUAL SESSION
Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association, Inc. will hold its 119th Annual Session Aug. 12-15 at Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road, Rixeyville with sessions beginning at 9:30 a.m. Lunch can be purchased onsite for a nominal fee. Highlights this year include Youth Day on Tuesday featuring a College Prep Workshop in the afternoon presented by DreamBig Inc. from Hampton/Atlanta, GA. The target audience is fifth graders and up, parents, guardians, teachers, ministers, etc. The workshop provides tools and techniques for the application process, choosing the right school for you, scholarship information, college tours and more. There is no fee for the workshop; the public is invited. The keynote address on Wednesday will be by the Rev. James Victor, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Arlington and the Missionary sermon will be delivered on Thursday by the Rev. Dr. Decker Tabscott, founder and pastor of Faith Christian Church International, Warrenton. UNION BAPTIST
Union Baptist Church, Tevilians, will host homecoming services Sunday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Baltimore of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Surry, and his choir and congregation as special guests. Revival will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, Aug. 18-22 with special guests each evening; Monday, Voices of Praise, Zion Travelers, Louisa; Tuesday, Philippi Christians, Mineral; Wednesday, Little Zion Young Adults, Orange; Thursday, Rising Sun, Mineral and on Friday the Ebenezer Ensemble from Charlottesville.

DEPRESSION RECOVERY SEMINAR
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. a Depression Recovery Seminar with Dr. Neil Nedley’s DVD Lectures with workbook and discussions will be held in the basement fellowship hall at Orange Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 212 Peliso Avenue. In this age of political, social and financial unrest, come and learn techniques for dealing with the stress and emotional trauma you may be facing or learn how to help a loved one. Dr. Nedley holds live depression recovery clinics and now the same information is being made available to our community via DVD and a trained coach.

MT. ZION BAPTIST
Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Criglersville, will have the Rev. Harvey Henderson of Dale City as guest speaker for the month of August. He is the associate pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Lorton.

RHOADESVILLE BAPTIST
Gospel recording stars, The Flowers Singers, featuring Elder James Flowers and family will be in full concert at Rhoadesville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 26042 Lafayette Drive on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. The West Bottom Baptist Church Praise Team from Fluvanna will also be featured guests. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door; children 12 and under, free. There will be drawings for prizes at intermission and light refreshments. Proceeds will benefit Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund. SHADY GROVE BAPTIST
Homecoming at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Orange, will be held Sunday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. and the 3 p.m. guest speaker will be the Rev. Larry Owens, Jr. and the congregation from Bethany Baptist Church, Montpelier, VA. Revival will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, Sept. 8-12 with the Rev. Joel Nelson as guest speaker. Various choirs will provide the music each night.

WOMEN IN WORSHIP CONFERENCE
Registration is open for the third annual Women in Worship Conference to be held in Fredericksburg Sept. 26-27 sponsored by Wayland Blue Ridge Women’s Auxiliary and Friends. Guest speakers will be Cynthia Brazelton, Victory Christian Ministries in Washington, DC and vicinity, the Rev. Tammie Armstead Pulliam and the Rev. Janice Steels, Victory in Christ Ministries. GOSPEL SING AT BOOSTER PARK
Greater Love will host their fourth annual Gospel Sing Saturday, Aug. 30 at Orange Booster Park, Route 20 North, behind Orange County Airport. Gates open at 3 p.m. and the singing begins at 5 p.m.; bring your lawn chair. The featured groups include Zion Song, Calvary’s Mercy, Sonrise and Greater Love. Admission is free. Concessions open with the best food this side of heaven; hope to see you there.

SPIRITUAL TIDINGS PROGRAM
The Spiritual Tidings Program has served the community for 20 years with Brother Edmond Harrison, Jr., as gospel announcer. From 6-8 a.m. join Brother Harrison every Sunday morning for music to uplift your spirit over radio stations WCVA 1490 AM Culpeper and WVCV 1340 AM Orange.
