Korean War Vets host ceremony Tuesday

Korean War Veterans Chapter 128 will again host the annual observance marking Veterans Day this year on the veranda of the Lake of the Woods Clubhouse in Locust Grove Virginia. The colorful ceremonies will commence at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11. Visitors should be seated by 10:45 a.m.
The speaker will be Major General Ralph J. Jodice, II of the U.S. Air Force. General Jodice is commander of Andrews Air Force Base, and the Air Force District of Washington.
He commanded the 335th Fighter Squadron and 4th Operations Group at Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina. In addition, Jodice commanded the 80th Flying Training Wing at Sheppard AFB in Texas. In addition, Jodice served on the Pentagon’s Joint Staff J-3 as special assistant to the Air Force vice chief of staff, and as defense attaché at the American Embassy in Beijing, China.
General Jodice is a command pilot with more than 3,500 flying hours in F-111 A/E, T-38A and F-15E aircraft.
He was deployed twice to Saudi Arabia: once in 1991 following Desert Storm, and again in 1995 as part of Operation Southern Watch.
Jodice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from Parks College of St. Louis University, a master of science in aerospace engineering from University of Dayton Squadron Officer School, and a master’s degree in national strategic studies from National War College. He is a distinguished graduate of Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Air War College and National Defense University.
The public is invited to attend this event at the LOW Clubhouse’s front veranda. Admission is free.
