Happy Birthday to those born in November.
Anywhere is a place of prayer if God is there.
Pray on your knees as you walked along, in silence and darkness, or to a tune of a song. God is not concerned where we pray or the eloquent words that we say-He is concerned with our feelings and he looks deep into our hearts and hears the “cry of our souls’ deep need” that no words could ever impart. So it isn’t the prayer that’s expressive or offered in some special spot. It’s the sincere plea of a sinner and God can tell whether or not we honestly seek His forgiveness and earnestly mean what we say. And then, and only then He answers the prayer that we fervently pray.
God is our engineer-When a train goes through a tunnel and the world gets dark,do you jump out? Of course not. You sit still and trust the engineer to get you through.
Hats off to: Frank Francis for his kind deeds, and Ronnie Snead who is always willing to help, and Edward Jones.
Healing through humor: A drunken stranger standing in the rain, awakening a family at 3 a.m. asked for a push. “No way,“ answered someone and slammed the door and returned to bed. The wife reminded him that they were broken down on the road, so the husband went back and asked if he was still there and where was he? “Yes, I am here and still need a push. I am over here—on the swing!“
