Show me thy way, oh Lord, teach me thy paths. (Psalm 25:4)

Gordon-Barbour’s fifth grade class traveled to Washington, DC, and visited the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian. It was enjoyed by all. Parents were invited to come and chaperone students. Little Miss Nakiyah Griggs and Destiny Shifflett were full-speed-ahead and were coming back telling of the exciting things they had seen.

Congratulations go out to Alliyah Hughes, Dee Rawlings and Taylor Hughes who graduated from Gordon-Barbour. Dee Rawlings received two awards, one for art and perfect attendance for two years.

Mrs. Rosa Graves sponsored a beautiful program on Saturday, June 7, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, the State Pageant. It was beautiful and Ms. Cheryl Hines did a wonderful job narrating it.

What with the world situation-gas, food and destruction of all kinds or just can’t seem to make ends meet, I said, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage; and He shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14)

Have a blessed day.
