Cause 4 Paws, a non-profit, all-volunteer feline rescue group, is launching a raffle to raise funds for its mission. The grand prize in the raffle is a beautiful queen-size “cat” quilt, made for the group and donated by Mr. and Mrs. Don Mongeon of Rhoadesville. The quilt is done in shades of brown, beige, white, blue and pink, and each block features a cat in a different color and pattern. Each cat has a pair of eyes made of antique buttons, and each pair is different. The border of the quilt is done in a pattern of feathers. It is really unique!
Other prizes in the raffle include gift certificates to Venice Restaurant in Locust Grove, Elmwood at Sparks in Orange, It’s About Thyme in Culpeper, and Pomme in Gordonsville. Cost of tickets: 1 ticket $2; 3 tickets $5; or 8 tickets $10. Tickets may be purchased from any Cause 4 Paws member or from Cause 4 Paws booths at local fairs and businesses (we’ll be at the Somerset Steam and Gas Pasture Party), or by calling (540) 972-7902. Tickets will be mailed upon request.
Cause 4 Paws is a recognized 501(c)(3) charity and all donations made to it are tax deductible. It rescues homeless and abandoned cats and kittens in Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Orange, Caroline, Stafford and Spotsylvania, or wherever its circumstances and finances permit. All monies raised go toward the mission of providing food and necessary veterinary medicine and finding responsible, loving homes for the animals.
Drawing for the raffle will be Nov. 11, and winners will be notified by telephone. Please, no ticket sales to anyone under 18 years of age.
