Crash kills LOW security guard

A Lake of the Woods security guard died at Mary Washington Hospital Tuesday following a single-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning.
Elizabeth B. Leizer, 37, of Locust Grove was westbound on Lakeview Parkway inside the guarded neighborhood when she lost control of a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria around 12:50 a.m.
Sgt. Les Tyler, spokesman for the Virginia State Police, said Leizer ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Tyler said it was raining at the time of the crash and that Leizer was on duty.
George Dodson of Dodson’s Security and Investigations owned the vehicle.
He said Leizer started with his company eight months ago.
“She was an excellent worker,” Dodson said. “She’s going to be missed very much. All of the employees loved her.”
