Gordonsville, Barboursville and Orange fire companies responded to a residential structure fire at Meadow Run apartments on Knighting Road in Gordonsville July 16. One of the occupants was home when the fire started, but managed to escape. According to Town of Gordonsville Police Chief Chris Spare, the fire was accidentally started in a piece of furniture. The occupants’ dog was rescued from the apartment by emergency personnel and successfully treated for smoke inhalation.
