On July 17, 2008, the Blue Ridge and Louisa Narcotics Task Forces executed a search warrant on an address in Louisa County.
As a result of this search warrant, approximately 15 pounds of marijuana and 150 dosage units of ecstasy were seized.
Further investigation led to a second search warrant in Orange County where an additional two pounds (approximately) of marijuana was seized.
John Stanley, age 63, of Old Gordonsville Road, Orange, was arrested on July 17, and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana greater than five pounds, conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to distribute ecstasy. On July 25, Terry Mack, age 41, and Temple Mack, age 36, of Louisa were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to distribute ecstasy.
As a result of Mrs. Mack’s involvement and her employment with the Orange County General District Court, a precautionary search of the general district court clerk’s office was conducted. The search was conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and nothing was found.
The investigation is ongoing and being handled by Virginia State Police, Blue Ridge Narcotics Task Force and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
