The new rule restricting right turns at red lights to when pedestrians are not present at Madison and Main is already in effect nearby at the intersection of May Fray Avenue and Main Street.
Waste disposal future undecided
In anticipation of the state mandated closure of the landfill on Dec. 31, 2012, county officials’ original plan was to move to a transfer station system for handling municipal waste. But the information laid out in the Soderquist proposal makes landfill expansion a legitimate alternative to trucking trash from Orange to landfills in out-of-county localities.
