To the editor,
I want to plead with all of you voters to consider praying before you go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008. Do you realize that more babies have been aborted since 1973 when Roe v. Wade became law than in all of America’s wars put together.
I am extremely passionate about this issue, as I was given the gift of life in 1964 and was adopted as an infant. What would have happened to me had I been conceived after 1973? A child that was conceived from a mother who did not want this child, but the state of Virginia put into a penitentiary and cared for until Sept. 11, 1964.
I thank God that I was given life! I have a voice today for the voiceless. The poor babies who are being murdered without having a say-so, whether or not to die.
This is not a race or gender issue, this is a life issue.
Barack Obama, at the Saddleback Forum, when asked ‘when does life begin?‘ responded by saying, “that is above my pay grade!“
When asked the same question, John McCain responded “At conception!“
I thank God for vice presidential candidate, the Governor Sarah Palin and her strong beliefs about when life begins. She doesn’t just talk the talk, but she also walks the walk.
I am sure that both Governor Palin and her husband Todd had learned that her baby that she was carrying was believed to have a physical birth defect, known as Downs Syndrome and here is a professional woman who already had four beautiful, healthy children and for a matter of convenience, could have quietly chosen to abort this baby, but instead, because of their Christian faith and their strong views on abortion, chose to have this child, and did you see this beautiful baby boy at the Republican Convention. Wow! He is as beautiful as any child born without Downs Syndrome! Praise God!
