To the editor,
Donkey Basketball… no kidding, do donkeys play basketball???
All kidding aside, this is a sad state of affairs when a high school and county can only abuse animals to make money and don’t teach respect for all creatures. Where have these folks been for the last 10 years? Most people have realized that abusing animals for amusement is just considered cruelty, i.e. Michael Vick and his high-class dog fighting ring is a good example. And, oh wait, he lived in Virginia also. Shame on the county and high school officials condoning this activity, and the owners of the donkeys.
