To the editor,
After 16 years as your representative on the Orange Town Council I am leaving office.
I want to thank the citizens of the town for allowing me to serve as your voice. There is no higher honor than to be elected to serve your fellow citizens. You have allowed me this honor and I am grateful. We have seen many improvements in our town and without your support and input they would not have happened.
I would like to give a special thank you to the following people for their help, guidance, team work, common vision and support over the years: Jim Cortada, Ed Sparks, Newton Sparks, Carter Jacobs, William Chewning, Jimmy Darnell, Mark Herndon, Ray Lonick, Chuck Mason, Harry Hopkins, Henry Carter, Cole Hendrix and the town staff.
Let’s continue to make Orange the place we can all be proud to call home.
Rick Sherman
