To the editor,
I really like the new traffic pattern on Route 20 and Route 611 at Locust Grove. I know everyone enjoys the non-stop through traffic lanes and the safety factor alone is invaluable. This endeavor would not have happened at this time had the normal channels been used.
As a proponent of improving Route 20 for more than a decade, I would like to commend and thank Kenny and Lori Dodson for sharing in the cost of this expensive project by furnishing the equipment and labor with VDOT. Thank you to VDOT’s Don Gore and Roy Tate for their unselfish efforts in working with Ken and Lori to form a partnership in this project. This demonstrates citizens and state government really working together. I would also like to thank Willie Dodson, Randy Davis and the rest of the Rhoadesville VDOT employees for all of their help and Jamie Carpenter for his abilities and experience in heavy equipment and roadbuilding.
Good things can happen in Orange County if people work together.
