Schools should be safe havens for our children. For the most part, they are. But, if something (real) should happen, we can rely on the knowledge that our officers are ready and able to respond professionally and expeditiously to protect and serve.

It’s got to be either all or nothing.

Some of you may have noticed that the Orange County Review website (http://www.orangenews.com) looks a little different this week than it did a week ago. 

Gordonsville police are looking into several instances of vandalism that occurred at different locations within the town last weekend.

Most of us probably don’t think much about government services. We think about them when we need them. They go about their business--helping citizens--and we don’t really think too much about it all until it comes to paying for them.

The cost of life doesn’t go down.
