Two local golfers represented Orange County well in the Plantations Junior Golf Tour’s Junior World Qualifier held April 5-6 at Jekyll Island Golf Club in Georgia.
Alexa and Isaiah Boucher traveled to the Georgia resort community to compete with dozens of other top junior golfers.
Isaiah Boucher won the boys 7-8 division, shooting 129 and 100 on the Oleander and Pine Lakes courses (par 72).
Alexa Boucher placed second in the girls 18-19 division, shooting 77 and 85 for a two-round total of 162. Winner Kimmie Knox of Ponte Vedra, FL shot a two-round total of 158 to edge Boucher by four strokes.
