Boys serve Flucos notice

The Orange County High School boys tennis team upped its record to 4-1 with a blowout win over Fluvanna Thursday night in Orange.
The Hornets swept singles play and dropped only one doubles match (by forfeit), beating the Flucos 8-1.
The win evened the Hornets’ Jefferson District record at 1-1.
Top seed Rob Johnson beat Fluvanna’s M. Strbaski 10-2.
Second seed Michael Kayajanian beat J. Williams 10-1.
At the third seed, Bobby Chambers beat M. Ballard 11-9 in the closes match of the day.
Fourth seed Brendon Chambers blanked C. Lebreiht 10-0.
Fifth seed Logan Hanley beat Fluvanna’s Reilly 10-6, while ? Hawkins rounded out the singles play with a 10-1 over R. Ernst.
In doubles play, Johnson and Kayajanian teamed to beat Strobaski and Williams 10-6.
Chambers and Chambers forfeited their doubles match after Bobby Chambers was injured and couldn’t continue.
Braden Jones and Hawkins teamed up as the third-seeded doubles team and beat Lebrecht and Ernst 10-1.
