Softball
The Dodgers beat the Rockies 15-4 in East Orange County Little League softball action.
Kristen Anderson pitched five innings for the Dodgers and Morgan Capaldo pitched the final frame. For the Rockies, Jamie Anderson threw four innings, followed by Abby Kirk and Gabby Stinson.

Minor league
The Phillies scored five runs in the second, third and fourth innings to blast the Blue Jays 15-5 in East Orange County Little League minor league baseball play. Bobby Brown, Michael Spencer and Trevor Dodson were the top batters for the Phillies, while Joel Wright was the Blue Jays’ top hitter. Michael Piazza pitched four innings for the Phillies and shut the Blue Jays out through the third before giving up five runs in the fourth.

The Marlins erupted for 14 runs—twelve in the final three innings—in doubling up the Royals 14-7 in East Orange Minor League baseball play. Cooper Burruss, Brock Warner and Justin Lamb were the top hitters for the Royals in a losing cause.

Tyler Bell and Alexia Lomax limited the Pirates to one run in four innings as the Royals beat the Pirates 8-1 in minor league play. Spencer Goodwin, Bailey Clayton and Justin Lamb were the Royals’ top batters in the win. Robert Kloby and Ryan Harvey led the Pirates.

The Royals scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to beat the Orioles 11-9 in East Orange minor league action. Justin Lamb, Bailey Clayton and Tyler Bell led the Royals. Both teams scored four runs in the first and five apiece in the second, but it was the Royals’ two late runs that secured the win.

The Phillies featured an explosive offensive attack, scoring 13 runs in four innings to beat the Angels 13-3 in East Orange minor league baseball play. Trevor Dodson and Devin Spencer pitched for the Phillies, while Spencer, Tristan Baxter and Dodson led the Phillies’ offensive attack. Chris Bowman, Dalton Jobe and Tyler Alesco, Dustin Wallace and Caleb Marshall took the hill for the Angels. Bowman, Wallace and Spencer Wilson led the Angels’ offense.

Major league
Justin Murphy had a three-run homer in the fourth inning as the Indians beat the Rangers 15-3 in East Orange major league action. Eric Washington dominated on the mound, striking out all nine of the first nine batters he faced in limiting the Rangers’ offensive effort.

Mitchell Smith had an inside-the-park homerun and a triple, while Reuel Alexander delivered a clutch hit in the third inning to help the A’s beat the Rangers 6-1 in major league play at East Orange County Little League. Smith, Tyler Pritt and Josh Kurtz held the Rangers to one run in the win.
