The Lake of the Woods Barracudas had their first official meet of the season against Eden Estates Eels June 25 in King George.
The meet was held in perfect swimming weather at the 20-yard King George pool.
Although the Barracudas fell to the Eels by a score of 269 to 237, many Barracudas turned in stellar performances.
Mason Greenblatt and Laine Harrington, both age 8, continued their triple win streak from last week’s exhibition meet.
Mason won blue ribbons in his butterfly (17.35), backstroke (18.75) and breast stroke (20.51).
Laine won first place in her butterfly (15.92), backstroke (16.79) and breaststroke (18.77).
Joining the two with his first triple win of the season was Noah Klug, age 9. Noah won all three of his individual events as well, including a freestyle event (13.23), a butterfly (15.78) and a breaststroke (18.31).
The Barracudas next meet was held at Fox Point Wednesday, July 2.
