The 2008 tennis season ended last week for Orange County High School’s top singles players and doubles teams.

Anglers will send one to JSQ
The Junior State Qualifier (JSQ), held April 26-27, cut most of the Anglers who participated. However, the tournament yielded one qualifier, Stephen Beasley.
Boys tennis team wins, loses
The Orange County High School boys tennis team split two matches early this week, blanking King George 9-0, but falling to Charlottesville 5-4.
Hosting the Black Knights Tuesday, Orange won two matches on the court and two others by forfeit, but couldn’t win the clinching fifth match that would have secured the victory.
Track teams shine at Western
Last Wednesday, the Orange track team traveled to Western Albemarle to compete against Western Albemarle, Charlottesville, St. Anne’s-Belfield, and Covenant.
The boys had a great meet, placing third.
